The WHOA NELLY is a 1990 model Hatteras 38 Convertible that was produced at the Hatteras Yachts facility in New Bern, NC. She’s powered by the preferred DETROIT DIESEL DD 6-71TIC’s that provide a total of 970 HP. A cruise speed of 22 knots can be expected and with a top end of 25 knots.
The WHOA NELLY just had her entire Flybridge Enclosure replaced this Summer, Both of the (2) zone A/C replacement units have been acquired and are awaiting their installations. The DD 6-71 TIC’s have been professionally-maintained by PRECISION MARINE of New Rochelle.

The HATTERAS 38 was built with a hand-laid up hull and with a shallow keel for good directional stability & protection. The hull is cored above the waterline w/ balsa for strength, reduced weight and insulation. The bottom is solid fiberglass. She has a modified "V" hull underbody.

Accommodations
The HATTERAS 38 Convertible has the standard AFROMOSIA interor furniture paneling in the Salon. This material is a very durable "teak-finish"veneer over high-quality marine plywood as utilized by HATTERAS YACHTS for many years. Other sections forward are finished with light vinyl's.
The basic layout details are best referenced in the included layout diagram. Entering the Salon area, the Settee and table are located to starboard. There's a separate seating area opposite. The Galley is "L" shaped and forward in the Salon, port side. The Head area with a separate shower enclosure is located on the port side and some (3) steps down from the Salon. Opposite the Head on the starboard side is the Guest Stateroom. It has an "over & under" bunk berth setup. The Master / Owner's Stateroom is forward a features a "Queen berth on centerline". There is side access to board the berth, port & starboard. There are two large hanging lockers & drawer storage provided. There is an ensuite entry for the Head on the port side aft of the Stateroom.
